Procedure

The ArthroFX system was designed to give surgeons a simple, efficient, and versatile solution for temporary or definitive fixation. The system consists of:
• 11 mm Carbon Fiber Rods
• 6 mm Transfixation Pins
• 4 mm and 5 mm Schanz Pins
• Large Combination Clamps and Multipin Clamps with Rod Attachments
In conjunction with the intuitive instrumentation, the single-tray system provides easy-to-use, cost-effective solution to help physicians and hospitals manage fractures with severe soft-tissue injuries, infections, or other conditions amenable to external fixation.

ArthroFX® Large External Fixation System

The distal tibia plates are made of stainless steel and are an extension of the ankle fracture management system. Plates have been designed with concern for the thin soft tissues on the tibia and are low profile with 2.7 mm locking or non-locking screws in the distal portion of each plate. Medial, anterolateral, anterior, posterior and small rim plates complete the plating offering for the tibia. In addition, posterolateral plating has also been designed to be low profile with a 2.7 mm locking screw to minimize peroneal tendon irritation.
