The iBalance® UKA system is a complete minimally invasive instrument and implant platform for the treatment of localized unicondylar cartilage degeneration in the medial or lateral compartment resulting from osteoarthritis or post-traumatic arthrosis. Highly anatomical femoral and tibial resurfacing implants and a novel innovative instrument platform facilitate an accurate, efficient, and reproducible surgical technique. The coronal and sagittal geometries of the femoral implants match the curvature of a normal knee, and the tapered anterior aspect helps reduce the incidence of patellar abutment. The minimalistic instrumentation system is elegantly designed to be intuitive for the surgeon and OR staff,which helps to reduce the learning curve. The iBalance UKA system provides a predictable, balanced result that ensures near-natural kinematics of the operative compartment.
