The family of FASTak screw-in suture anchors are used to secure the labrum and associated soft tissue to the glenoid using preloaded FiberWire® suture. Once the anchors are implanted in the glenoid, the sutures can be passed in multiple configurations for optimal fixation and strength using the Labral Scorpion™ quick-loading suture passer, QuickPass™ SutureLasso™ suture passer, or other passing device.

Procedure

AC joint separation can be effectively treated using the AC TightRope® technique. The Arthrex TightRope is a device consisting of two buttons - one round clavicle button and one oblong coracoid button. The buttons are joined by a continuous loop of #5 FiberWire®. This technique provides a simple, reproducible, minimally invasive technique for acute acromioclavicular joint stabilization which may enable a rapid return to activity for the acute injury.

Arthroscopic ankle fusion has many proven benefits when compared to open fusion techniques. Arthrex's comprehensive product line provides surgeons with all the necessary tools for safe and effective arthroscopic fusion of the ankle joint.
The ankle arthroscopy set includes multiple curettes and osteotomes to facilitate preparation of arthritic joints. The PoweRasp™ and PowerPick™ devices allow for simple cartilage removal and marrow stimulation at the distal tibia and talus.
After appropriate preparation of the fusion site, surgeons can use the GPS Targeting System to pinpoint placement of K-wires. Once the K-wires are in place, fusion can be achieved using the Arthrex 7.0 mm Compression FT Screws.

Arthroscopic Ankle Fusion

Open cannulas allow for quick portal exchange and easy introduction of working instruments into the joint. The sturdy, reinforced steel construct resists bending while the blunt tip eases entry through the capsule and helps protect against cartilage damage. Open cannulas are also ideal for passing curved instruments and removing large loose bodies that will not fit through standard cannulas. The updated design allows removal of the handle during the procedure if the cannula is left in place in the portal.

Trauma Lower Extremities

Calcaneal fractures are typically the result of high-energy mechanisms such as a fall from a height or an automobile accident. Arthrex offers many solutions for these injuries, including:

Calcaneal Fracture

A calcaneal osteotomy is a common technique used to treat stage II flatfoot deformity. Arthrex's recently launched Minimally Invasive Surgery platform allows surgeons to perform this osteotomy through a tiny incision. Surgeons can then achieve fixation using the 7.0 mm Compression FT screws or the 6.5 Compression PT screws.
Alternatively, surgeons desiring a graduated shift can use the calcaneal step plate via a lateral approach.

Arthroscopic treatment of posteromedial impingement utilizes a straight posterior and posterolateral portals. The posterolateral portal is used as a working portal and the straight posterior portal is used for insertion of the arthroscope. After thorougharthroscopic evaluation of the posterior compartment and removal of any loose bodies, the posteromedial osteophyte is removed with a small osteotome taking care to remove bone fragments with a grasper. The remaining tip is finished with a small burr or shaver, only removing enough bone to allow full extension without impingement. Chondromalacia of the fossa is debrided of any unstable cartilage flaps and abrasion chondroplasty is performed if necessary.

Removal of Osteophytes and Loose Bodies

Subtalar arthrodesis is the fusion of the subtalar joint, between the talus and calcaneus. Subtalar arthrodesis can be fixated with Arthrex 7.0 mm XL Compression FT screws.
