<p>The Arthrex Humeral Nail System provides two distinct options for humeral nailing. The short nail is designed to quickly and efficiently treat proximal third humeral fractures and features a self-reaming trocar tip to further reduce operative time and four screw options proximally. The long nail has 3 proximal screw options and is available in diameters of 7 mm, 8 mm, and 9 mm with lengths from 20 cm to 30 cm. An internal compression screw in the long nail aids in fracture reduction and compression. Each nail includes screws that thread into the nail to prevent screw backout and create a locking construct for added stability. Simplified instrumentation helps make the process efficient and repeatable.</p>
